Isca Foods has been trading for 25 years from the Sowton Industrial Estate, this move was at the time into a new build unit. One of the main attractions was the ease of the road network, being very close to the M5 and Exeter city centre.
A family owned business being run by myself - Tim Schofield and my son Liam; my wife Kate also works within the business. I have a lifelong background in the food sector, whether it be as a manager for a large cheese group, or owning other food businesses. I have a keen interest and specialist knowledge of all cheeses.
Liam was an I.T. consultant for the newspaper industry, but decided a few years ago to join us here, he now oversees the daily running of this business. Gavin Barber is our manager who has been in the food trade all of his life, his knowledge of our products is second to none.
Most of our other staff have been in this business for a long time, so whoever picks up the phone you know you will get a well informed response.
We have a diverse customer base, ranging from burger vans through to high end delicatessens and restaurants. To facilitate this our products range from the commercially produced burger through to the hand crafted artisan cheeses, and way beyond.
In early 2015 we decided to re-brand our business, we now have:
- A three station Avery Weigh/label system in place which also starts to generate the invoices.
- A new Logo and new business colours.
- This is a new completely re-vamped website, launched May 2015.
- Two brand new vans joined our fleet, these are to be vinyl wrapped with our logo and information.
- New workwear for all staff.
However we have certainly not lost our train of thought on our most important part of the business, you, the customer. We constantly strive to better our service to you and source new products. With this site we will update it constantly with good information and special offers, so keep your eyes on our homepage for these.
